Stand Details
We’ve had the opportunity of working with Selvi for this very special 128 msq Trade Stand at the Texhibition Istanbul. Selvi Halı is one of the largest rug and carpet manufacturers and distributors based in Turkey. From classical handmade rugs to contemporary mass produced carpets in various styles, they are a leader in the industry. Selvi being one of our most loyal clients over the years. This relationship resulted in us helping them with their numerous Exhibition Stands and Trade Show installation projects as well as portable showroom designs in the past.
Design Concept
In this Exhibition Stand Design, we aimed to achieve a complete showroom look that separated the visitors from the ongoing hectic environment of the Exhibition Event. We had a quite large space of 16×8 metres in total that enabled us to put many samples of different rugs and enough room for visitors to walk between them. The size of a normal rug is much larger than a human and as thin as 2 cm in most cases. This gave us the idea to turn the Exhibition Stand into a maze of rugs for visitors to be surrounded by them.

Exhibition Stand Build
As this was a month long expo, we were able to install large brown porcelain tiles for flooring that gave visitors a more exclusive showroom experience. We designed and produced individual two way facing stands to display the rugs. These were firmly holding onto the floor with small bevelled legs on each side. In addition, we installed metal beams towards the opposite direction laying on top of the rug stands to increase stability for both the stands and the walls. On these metal beams, we installed spotlights illuminating the rugs just like in an art gallery.
We decided to paint the stand in a very dark grey colour with a simple layout and plain walls. This conveyed a strong contrast with the spotlights and patterned rugs in front like they’re pieces of art, keeping visitors away from distractions and allowing them space and time to concentrate. We designed two large open gates on the Exhibition Booth, both facing corners of the exhibition and placed a reasonable storage area with two tables and chairs right outside of it. This Exhibition Stand helped Selvi create strong relations and accelerated their next step into the global market.
