Istanbul Teknik Exhibition Stand

About

Istanbul Teknik is one of the leading construction and building supplies companies in Turkey. Over the years we have produced a number of exhibition stands for them and we have always pushed our design skills for newer and contemporary concepts to mainly chase our belief that there are no limits to a better design each time. For this particular design, Istanbul Teknik told us that they were very keen on having large life-sized building material samples that were specifically made for insulation and wanted to utilise the limited space mostly with them. Our idea came about thinking about building an actual X-rayed shed that shows each material layering on top of each other as if it were the anatomy of a small building. Besides this large sample design, we took a simpler approach to the rest of the exhibition stand as we wanted to keep most of the attention on the sample. The other half of this expo stand consisted of a designated seating area at the very end of the corner for potential clients or networking visitors which we also decorated with more samples where we also placed a small wall made of bricks.

Challenge

Creating an attractiverealistic sample corner for visitors to come and test/ touch the products

Solution

We came up with a design that included a small shed covered with building and construction products of the exhibitors which ultimately became a compact anatomy of a building

Results

We printed a large sky image behind the shed sample on an angled wall with floodlights above which created an interesting depth which emphasised the shed pushing it forward. Logos were made by Foamex laser cut with LED strips installed inside. On the roof side of the exhibition stand we have placed a curved banner in the corner for their partner which is called ForTex that was supposed to be in a very dark black painted background. Ultimately, Istanbul Teknik expressed that they were very happy in the end that the exhibition event went smoothly and their expo stand was just as they wanted it to be. We said we were extremely glad that they were satisfied with the stand and shook hands for the upcoming exhibition trade shows.
