Description
Sahinler Metal Group is one of Turkey's largest metal and steel manufacturers specialising in steel slabs, pipes and cables. They approached us for a 12x7m exhibition stand at the 2nd organisation of the International Metal Expo Istanbul. They briefed us with large stand dimensions in which they asked for a modern and contemporary design that emphasised their character as a noble manufacturer in the industry. In this trade show, they wanted to promote one of their sub-brands which is A Cables. They’re manufacturing high-quality outdoor steel cables to be used in the high voltage lines that are carrying electricity to homes and facilities. A Cables is still under the management of Sahinler Metal but for this exhibition event, their objective was to focus on A Cables solely to promote them in the new emerging market.

Results
Sahinler’s corporate colours are mainly red and white. We moved away from those hues to emphasise the difference in maintaining their holdings company logo just under A cables. Ultimately we wanted to go for a dark warm grey that could also work with white and wood tones which we later added wooden pillars to compliment the design and used as separators. This way we also gained a warm contrasting structure in turning corners of the exhibition stand. We supported those pillars with sahinler’s own sturdy metal pipes. Our objective was to create an open, sort of hugging form that embraced the visitors and enhanced the height of the exhibition stand. We placed huge cable rolls, metal slabs and dice samples, products from Sahinler Metal. Placing raw materials like those in such a neat and modern exhibition stand made them stand out and created a very interesting decor for the rest of the stand. In the far back corners, we shaped the columns in opposite triangles. This allowed more room into the stand and we put a catalogue holder for the visitors walking behind the stand.
