Description

Suvari is one of Turkey's biggest and most established clothing brands specifically niched in menswear and jackets. Their ample space in this particular trade show allowed us to push the limits of their stand design to turn it into a full luxurious showroom to showcase their new leather jacket and suit ranges. Our goal was to develop a design language that conveyed the excellence and luxurious characteristics of their clothing line. Knowing that their main colour is black we already knew that we had to illuminate the space very well and treat the lighting as a crucial part of the design. The corner side of the stand design also became one of the main parts as our plan evolved into placing their products. Simplicity was one of the keys to our modern approach to this design. Using wooden panels on certain areas of the stand enhanced the character of the leather products and served as a separator where we also hung some of the products, taking advantage of the aesthetic appearance of the wooden warmth as well as dividing the space with a balanced distance. As I mentioned above, our utilization of lighting within the stand was one of the biggest aspects of our design that gave the character of this exhibition stand.

Challenge

Creating a modern and simple shoroom exhibition stand to display certain chosen clothing products with leaving enough walking room in the stand space.

Solution

We used lighting as a main design aspect of the design to illuminate stand area as well as warm wood tones to distribute and seperate different elements of the stand structure.

Results

We used partially hidden LED lights in the dips and corners to illuminate the products and the background. We’ve also used decorative LED and neon lighting as a backlight for the small podium-like stage in the mid-corner of the stand where simple mannequins were placed to display the suits. Neon strip lights were aligned in a gradual smooth triangle shape that elevated the mannequins but also served as a backlight that created a strong silhouette of the suits. We used sheets of chipboard for the walls with strong wooden T columns behind to support the overall weight. Wooden panels were made of raw timber which were varnished in the workshop elevating their warm tone. Suvari logos were printed on vinyl acrylic that had LED lighting inside. Tables in the middle were carefully crafted in our workshop and were assembled in the exhibition hall. For flooring, we used grey none slippery satin vinyl.
