About

Tombak Plus is a Patisserie chain in Turkey. As well as their exhibition stand design and builds, we have designed and built 17 restaurants and patisserie shops all across Turkey. Tombak was launching their Tombak Plus brand and wanted an eye-catching form in the design for their 7x10 meter exhibition stand. We designed them as a temporary restaurant with enough storage and serving space to present their best-selling sweets and pastries. Square zebra tile flooring played an important role in conveying the ultimate restaurant feeling as well as the two walls facing each other with plenty of tables and good layout planning, enabling visitors to find an escape within the hectic exhibition environment.

The stand was made of plenty of modular pieces. As we have designed and built their restaurants before, we kept a similar pipeline in making the design as well as the production side of the stand. Structures were extremely sturdy and durable, we distributed the weight to the arch which was the main form of the stand. We placed a commercial refrigerator both for serving and displaying the products. We used one of the columns as an extra storage space for their promotional merchandise and other products. We also used the space on the walls of the columns for their banners as they held such a high and large space on the side of the exhibition stand. In between the arch columns, we put a perforated one-way vision acrylic with their graphic illustrations printed on top. Not only the interesting form of the stand design but also the utilization of their core brand colours were just as important to have a balanced aesthetic for the expo stand. We kept the beige and orange tones on the roof side of the stand while focusing on the darker wood tones to be on the floor as such a form in a design like this can easily backfire and kill the overall aesthetic as well as the purpose of this design.
