Istanbul Teknik Exhibition Stand
Description
Istanbul Teknik is one of the leading construction and building supplies companies in Turkey. Over the years we have produced a number of exhibition stands for them and we have always pushed our design skills for newer and contemporary concepts to mainly chase our belief that there are no limits to a better design each time. In this design, they wanted to showcase their new product samples of the geosynthetic and insulation products. Because of the small space we had, we came up with a design that had a large-sized main wall full of samples and product descriptions and a small storage made of bricks which are one of the building materials that they supply as well. We decided to put a small terrace-like seating area that could be accessed from the storage room for more exclusive meetings and gatherings and for more accessible space inside that stand itself so that the visitors could be able to move around better and view the samples. On the sample wall, we separated each product line wall into tall pieces with noticeable gaps in between them.
Challenge
Thi biggest challenge in this expo stand was the tiny dedicated space we had. Clients wanted to use the space mostly for samples of their building producst and asked us to come up with a solution
Solution
We eliminated the conventinal seating area by placing it on to the storage. We designed a tall exhibition stand that had a wall sperated in smaller pieces with product descriptive grpahics on them. We used smaller sample holders that were fairly thin which allowed us to give wall a more three dimensional look by installing floodlights from below that painted the walls in different colours each time.
Results
We used fabric PVC-like material to print descriptive graphics on these separator wall pieces. We installed smaller product holder stands with fairly large top signs that are just below the printed graphics, where we placed the actual samples at a level where visitors can easily approach and lean down to touch and examine them. We designed simple and thin sample holders that looked like paper that was standing on its own. Besides its thin aesthetic, it also allowed us space for the hidden lighting decor that we put behind them making a three-dimensional effect, illuminating from the ground all the way to the top of the wall hitting the small caps we added which were painted in different colours as lights were changed. This stand is a great example of utilising a small dedicated area for an exhibition stand. The reason is that it is not always possible to get the desired amount of space in trade shows and it is vital to go for bespoke exhibition stand solutions.
